2012 beginners class

The first beginner's class in 2012 will be Tuesday 10 January at Wales Sport, Sofia Gardens. Anyone interested please attend by 1930hrs to allow us to sort out enrollment forms insurance and fees. Please take a look at our new web site which has all relevant information and a gallery of pictures of past events.
The picture on left is my 2nd attempt at making a Doudai, getting better , practice makes perfect!!

Sat Practice cancelled

2nd attempt with selection of leather covers. Tip:: Bending bamboo by Microwave is very successful. However, to the matter in hand. There will be no practice this Sat morn. Combination of regular hands away on other business and of course Wales in semi of Rugby world cup. As a fellow Celt I wish them all the very best but am sure they will succeed.
Do remember that there is the usual practice on Sunday at Uwic from 1000 -1300hrs. Depending on the celebrations or commiserations after the match I may even get there myself.

Practice 15 Oct and 22 Oct

Sorry, just did my first bluetooth transfer, haven't time to rotate pic. My DIY Do is coming along, tried Ronseal ....failure! This is black hammerite, I kid you not.
Anyway, to the purpose of this blog. Can I ask you to email me if you are attending practice next Sat, 15 Oct. If less than 4 I will cancel as Rugby semi is on that Sat.
Second, I am away on Sat 22 Oct, and a lot of the class will be away as well. Gary has promised to be there so let him know if you are intending to be there.

CHELTENHAM BASH

Just a reminder that there is going to be a major bash at the Cheltenham club on Wed night. You get a chance to fight a wide and varied range of opponents, young and old, novice and experienced. Please let myself or Gary know if you require a lift. I can take someone up but will be stopping off at my property in Usk that night.
Lets show a strong Akai Ryuu presence at this event.
